Johan Hellström – Professional Background:
IT design and development professional since 1990. Started career at IBM Sweden, working primarily with OS/2 and OS/400. Moved to the IBM Nordic Lab 1992 as AIX developer. Was 1994 promoted to Chief Designer for the program offering “Job Scheduler for AIX”, which was included in the Tivoli framework.
Became independent IT contractor 1996, working across Europe between 1996 and 2002, specializing in System programming within the areas of OS/400 , AIX – C, C++, Java, TCP/IP Sockets – as well as IBM MQ Series. Emphasis on financial systems after working for a number of financial (software) companies and banks in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Brussels and London.
Joined integration software company SeeBeyond, later to be acquired by Sun Microsystems, in 2002 and was assigned as Services representative for the SeeBeyond/Sun Integration software suite.
Left Sun Microsystems 2008 and started working as Integration Development Lead for EDB Business Partner (EVRY), Oslo, Norway.
Rejoined IBM as Middleware Application Architect at IBM AIS (GBS) 2011 – and moved to current position as an IBM Integration Technical Presales 2015
Lead author of the IBM Redbook “Porting Unix C Applications to AS/400”, written at a residency at the IBM Rochester, MA software lab (Networking/Communications and Process Management chapters).
Level 2 IT Specialist Certification Expert Level in the Services, Application Integration & Middleware and Smart Work specializations, IBM and TOG (The Open Group Certified IT Specialist)
